About Lund Equestrian

Jamie Lund, Trainer

Raised on a 300-acre family farm in Santa Ysabel, California, Jamie Lund discovered her lifelong passion for horses at just two years old while riding through the mountains of San Diego County alongside her father. By age 13, she had begun competing in the hunter/jumper circuit, riding exclusively in that discipline until 19, when a single dressage horse forever changed her perspective on training and horsemanship.

That pivotal experience opened the door to a broader, more holistic approach. Jamie spent years successfully competing and training in both the hunter/jumper and dressage arenas, working with many acclaimed professionals from each discipline. This dual foundation shaped her belief that developing a well-rounded horse requires balance, patience, and communication between horse and rider.

Today, Jamie brings this philosophy to every lesson she teaches, blending classical principles with modern, practical techniques. Her methodical and empathetic approach creates a positive, confidence-building environment where riders of all levels can grow. She is known for her one-on-one attention, clear instruction, and ability to tailor her teaching to the individual needs of each horse-and-rider pair.

In addition to her private training and teaching, Jamie proudly coaches both the MZ Equestrian IEA Hunt Seat Team and IEA Dressage Team, guiding young riders toward success through teamwork, discipline, and a shared love of the sport.

Maribeth Polese Gagliardi, Hunter Jumper Trainer & Instructor

With more than 20 years of experience in barn management, training, and teaching, Maribeth Polese Gagliardi brings a hands-on, thoughtful approach to every aspect of horsemanship. Her teaching is grounded in patience, positivity, and strong fundamentals, helping riders of all ages and levels develop confidence, skill, and a true love for the sport.

She creates a supportive, goal-focused environment where progress is steady and success is built on understanding and trust. Whether working in the lesson ring or preparing for competition, she emphasizes balance, communication, and the partnership that defines great riding.

Believing that every horse has something to teach us, Maribeth inspires her students to approach each ride as an opportunity to learn, grow, and deepen their connection with their horses.
